We here at Disco Computer HQ simply LOVE performing live (despite our probable hernias from lugging around 40 year old equipment, as well as Tony’s pre gig nerves). And as such, here are some vids of us performing live here in Melbourne from May 2023 to as far back as roughly 2016.
At the time, we decided to reboot our YouTube account after Moni began playing keyboards as well as her normal vocalist duties and we wanted our YouTube account to reflect that. That work will hopefully continue, now that we are a trio. We have added some footage though the footage with Lu comes from PBS and not us.
We kept the cover of fascination tho, mostly cos people seem to enjoy it, plus with all of our voices being a whole octave and a bit lower than Monika’s, none of us can reach the high notes. That said, we are working on extra covers, hopefully some will turn up here in the future. I think you’ll agree at lot has changed for us in the intervening time period…

Live on Studio 5 live (PBS FM)
As part of Tony’s 30th anniversary of his PBS FM Radio show IrvineJUMP! we were invited to perform live on Studio 5 live (On Oct 30th, how appropriate). This is our most recent video footage to date, and also our first footage as a trio and at that point, Lu had been with us for less than a month!.

Here, we are performing the track “(I’m in) Ecstasy”, which was one of the last pieces written by original vocalist and keyboard player Monika Ciura and Tony together and a great example of our burgeoning interest in house, techno and industrial music.

Facebook live
Both Monika and Tony had a love/hate relationship with farcebook, particularly when trying to do things like embed video (which Tony has spent an hour trying to post here), but due to her postcode being the only one not in lockdown back in 2020, we thought it might be fun to try a facebook live thingy back in 2020. Monika loved it cos we didn’t have to lug equipment anywhere, and being bloody cold we didn’t have to dress up, just rug up…
I’ve also posted this because unbeknownst to us, this would be our last gig together. As I copied the embed code for this, I noticed it was July 5th 2020. 52 weeks to the day before Monika passed away. It would be a travesty not to post this.
